How to Enter a Google Calendar Appointment

To Get to the Google Calendar

  1. Go to igoogle.com
  2. Click on ‘sign in’ on the top right hand corner of the screen. Enter email address and password.*
  3. When in the site, click on the ‘more’ pull down menu, top middle of the page. This gives a list of options. Click ‘Calendar’.

To Enter an Appointment

  1. In the month view (top right of page), click on a calendar square. Alternately, you can also click on the red ‘Create’ button at the top left of the page.
  2. In the pop-up box, enter the name of your appointment.
  3. Click the ‘Edit event’ link at the bottom of the box.
  4. Uncheck the ‘All day’ box.
  5. Set the begin and end time.**
  6. If you have more than one Calendar, make certain that the correct one is chosen (toggle option in the ‘Event Details’ area).
  7. Click the ‘Repeat’ box if the event occurs at a regularly scheduled time and fill in the pertinent information.
  8. Click ‘Save’, red box, at the top of the screen.
  9. Check the calendar to confirm that the information was added correctly.

** Default appointment duration is 1 hour.
