To Get to the Google Calendar
- Go to igoogle.com
- Click on ‘sign in’ on the top right hand corner of the screen. Enter email address and password.*
- When in the site, click on the ‘more’ pull down menu, top middle of the page. This gives a list of options. Click ‘Calendar’.
To Enter an Appointment
- In the month view (top right of page), click on a calendar square. Alternately, you can also click on the red ‘Create’ button at the top left of the page.
- In the pop-up box, enter the name of your appointment.
- Click the ‘Edit event’ link at the bottom of the box.
- Uncheck the ‘All day’ box.
- Set the begin and end time.**
- If you have more than one Calendar, make certain that the correct one is chosen (toggle option in the ‘Event Details’ area).
- Click the ‘Repeat’ box if the event occurs at a regularly scheduled time and fill in the pertinent information.
- Click ‘Save’, red box, at the top of the screen.
- Check the calendar to confirm that the information was added correctly.
* If you already signed in, you will see your igoogle page.
** Default appointment duration is 1 hour.
