Updating OS X – Configure Your Wireless Printer

I recently updated from Tiger to Snow Leopard on my imac and from Snow Leopard to Lion on my MacBook Pro. Then, of course, I couldn’t get my wireless printer to work.

Here’s how I solved the problem:

If you have followed all of the install instructions, your computer’s drivers are updated.

Go to the printer and choose the setup option and then, wireless setup.

You will be prompted to enter your WEP key (translation… enter your wireless password).

On your computer you will need to go to settings, then printers and faxes. Find your printer and delete it (the minus sign).

Then click the plus sign to add a new printer. The printer will ‘find’ your wireless printer and you can re-add it to your printer list.

Good Luck!
